Borz is in private preview. This policy covers data collected during the preview period. A full policy will be published before general availability.

Who we are

What we collect

  • Email address and name when you sign up for API access.
  • Source code submitted to the Online Compiler API (processed transiently; not retained).
  • Compile telemetry at the Community tier: compile counts (timestamp, target, success/failure, duration), the source corpus (your .borz files at compile time), and your activation fingerprint. See the telemetry FAQ for the full breakdown by tier.
  • Standard server access logs (IP address, timestamp, request path).

How we use it

  • To operate the API and authenticate API keys.
  • To communicate with you about your account.
  • Telemetry is used solely to improve the compiler — never shared with third parties.

Data residency

All data is stored on EU-resident servers. No personal data leaves the European Union.

Your rights (GDPR)

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@decentedge.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Cookies

This site uses no tracking cookies. The playground stores your code in localStorage only — it is never sent to any analytics service.

Changes

We will notify registered users by email before any material change. The current version is always at /legal/privacy.
